Owned and operated by Mary and Don Ecsedy since 2003, we are a local Pittsburgh website design company named Circuit Riders, LLC. We are located in the city limits of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are former librarians (cataloging, law, medicine, private practice), and technical writers. We are search experts, and we also know how to create websites. So we write web contents in human language using the formal language of source code (HTML, CSS, PHP), to support our clients' marketing goals and increase their business.

Mary Ecsedy

Mary Ecsedy is Circuit Riders' Managing Partner and project manager. Her experience includes library science, technical writing, systems analysis and design, website design and development, search engine optimization ("SEO") and Internet marketing. She is an information specialist with over 16 years of complete life cycle software development experience in a variety of industries, including manufacturing and nuclear waste.

Mary has a B.A. in Anthropology, which provides the foundation for all of her work. A strong narrative writer, she uses targeted content development as an essential tactic in both organic and paid search engine marketing. Mary specializes in website business analysis, using SEO and search data for business intelligence. She works with our clients to translate their existing business savvy in the still new and uncertain frontier of the Web. She has lectured on Search Engine Optimization and Marketing at Carnegie Mellon University, and has given numerous other talks and presentations on a variety of topics at meetings and conferences.

Don Ecsedy

Don Ecsedy is Circuit Riders' other partner. His main role is Continuity. An experienced law librarian and online analyst, Don provides key skills for numerous search engine and writing projects. Don is also our system administrator, working closely with the website development team to maintain our Web servers and company network.

We met on Usenet in 1994, when Mary was a library cataloger at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Don was the law librarian in the Legal Affairs department at Mellon Bank.

Our Team

Circuit Riders' website design and development team consists of independent consultants with whom we've worked on a per-project basis for years:

Craig Brozefsky is our Technical Director. He builds sophisticated Web software applications for universities and financial institutions around the world, and is a security expert.
Matt Hucke is a refugee from a telecommunications company, and is our lead developer; he and Mary are the core members of our development team. Both Matt and Craig are located in Chicago, IL.
Jean Siegel is an expert technical writer. She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and has over 25 years of experience creating API, system administration, online help, user, and release documentation, in a wide variety of companies.
Alison Huettner, Ph.D. is a project manager, linguist, and research engineer, with a Ph.D. in Linguistics, University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She and Jean and Mary have worked together on various projects for over 10 years, primarily in Carnegie Mellon University-affiliated software development companies in Pittsburgh, including Clairvoyance and Carnegie Speech. Alison is now providing us with linguistics expertise and consulting for Search Engine Optimization projects.
Roger Collins, B.S.E.E., J.D., is our Industrial Advisor. We work with a lot of manufacturers and other clients in heavy industry, and we rely on his expertise to support the unique needs of this sector. He is located in St. Louis, MO.
